Not giving a shit is something I’ve worked on over the years because it’s a necessity if you want to live a life not as a response to the opinions of others, but completely on your own terms and as your own man.
What follows is a 3-part task that is designed to bring clarity.
Clarity is simply knowing what needs to be done, and doing it.
Figuring out what we should focus on and work on is often the difficult part, and the aspect of life, work, health, that few take time to focus on.
It’s not the act of cleaning, it’s the feeling of having everything in it’s place, clean, tidy, so you can do what you have to do to win at life.
The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.
Accepting failure is a yuge part of becoming confident. Accepting it as a necessary part of victory is necessary for you to become the man you want to become.
The question I ask myself a fair bit is, am I too busy to be doing what I want to do or what I should be doing? If I am, I’m being busy on the wrong things.
True personal power is being a man, it’s bringing home the catch at the end of a long day of hunting. You have to be truly confident to solve any problem with a woman, and this has everything to do with you being the man you’re put here to become.
Soon I’m going to show you how to clearly define what you want in life, to find that clarity that’s needed to be energized and excited about life and where you’re headed. Today, however, let’s start with your hierarchy, your ‘why’ you do what you do. The Speech A few months ago a guy that follows […]
Defeat isn’t just a part of life, but a necessary part of life. We need it. We need it to teach us not only how to win in the future, but how to become a man.
Haters don’t exist. You don’t have haters. You have people in your life, some better than others, but if you’re any kind of a leader, you should be helping these people improve not looking down at them from your glass castle.
In the past few years I’ve read every book on the Stoics, by those we’ve deemed ‘the stoics’, that I could find. The big three are Seneca, Epictetus, and Marcus Aurelius. Seneca was a wealthy businessman. Epictetus was a former slave. Marcus Aurelius was the emperor of Rome. It’s this diversity that’s attractive to any […]
I’m working through Victor Davis Hanson’s Savior Generals right now. Hanson looks into wars that were all but lost, and the generals who won them. These aren’t average generals. These are men who had ideals and courage that their peers didn’t, allowing them to lead in ways that others couldn’t. The second general that Hanson […]
Winners make their lives more difficult where they don’t need to be, and simpler where others complicate things. How Winners Work Winners work on one thing at a time. They know that multitasking doesn’t work, so they do what they’re doing and then they move on to the next task. They work tirelessly. They’re always […]
I can be a tad impulsive. (Read This: How to Fight Your Desires to Find True Freedom) The other week I decided I wanted to sell my truck and get something different. I wanted to sell the truck because it’s pushing 220k kms and I figured it would be a good time to get some […]
How to Become a Better Man My mom’s Italian. She was born in Italy and came over to Canada when she was seven years old. Italian mothers tell their son’s to be ‘good’. That’s the instruction they give at the beginning of the day. It isn’t to be smart, or to do well in school […]
