No matter what happens in your life, be it good bad or great, understand that control is yours. How you react to it, what you take from it, learn from it, become because of it, is on your shoulders. -Chad Howse
Reality is an interesting thing. For the individual, it’s based on perception. My reality is both the event and how I react to the event. What we do is we give the event all of the importance and our ability to decide how we react to it, none.
Reality is both set in stone and it’s fluid. The event has occurred, but how we react to it can change and evolve if we so choose.
It’s so tough to realize that the event is actually not important whatsoever. How we react to it is everything. Every loss, every failure, every injustice has both a good and a bad option for the individual. They can be lessons or they can send us down an unending spiral, one that far too often ends in suicide.
No matter what happens in your life, be it good bad or great, understand that control is yours. How you react to it, what you take from it, learn from it, become because of it, is on your shoulders.
Some will see this as a burden, others will see this correctly, as a gift.
Again, even that is a matter of perspective, a choice.
And just like most things in life, there is a right choice. There is a bad choice. There is good. There is evil. Please, for the sake of this wonderful gift, the gift that is life, and the gift that you are to those who’ve been fortunate enough to come in contact with you, choose to see every little injustice or failure or loss in your life as either a challenge or an opportunity. God bless.
