Legendary Man

The Legendary Man

If you make yourself more than just a man. If you devote yourself to an ideal. And if they can’t stop you. Then you become something else entirely…

A Legend, Mr. Wayne.

The Legendary Man

The fight to become a Legendary Man is an arduous one. It’s multifaceted. There’s the physical and the physique, the mind, and the spirit. To be a complete man, we need to do our best to develop each. To be a Legend, we need a purpose in everything we do. We need something greater, a call, a mission, a dream that drive us, but we also need focus.

That call is something internal. It’s your purpose or mission in life. It’s what gives your strength, a sense of manliness and pride. It makes you a driven, ambitious man. We’ll talk about this in a future article.

Today, we’ll focus on one of those 3 ‘categories’ of being a Legendary Man: the physical.

The Legendary Bodybefore pic

A man – a successful one – takes care of his body. He does so for both selfish, and unselfish reasons. He wants to protect his family and loved ones. So he trains his body to be able to do so. He also wants to be confident. A good-looking and even better performing body gives him this confidence.

Above all else, a man simply wants to make the most out of his life. He understands that everyday is a gift, and one with an expiration date. Every skill and talent should be pushed to its capacity, and then some. He wants to walk into the pearly gates spent, exhausted, with nothing left to give.

So he trains his mind, body, and spirit. He takes care of himself in every way he possibly can. To be a Legendary Man is to adhere to this principle. To let nothing go to waste. To fight The Resistance. To kill laziness. To be at our best in every way we can.

A better body doesn’t only mean confidence, but power. It means more energy, better days spent on this earth, and more success in other areas of your life. Whether you want to live a longer life, or you follow the words of Mr. Lincoln, building a better body, whatever your goal may be, is a must.

And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years. ~ Abraham Lincolnchad-howse-279

Thanks man, ya trying to fix it right now…. before my brain explodes. I’ll respond to this comment when it’s good to go.

    • christopher

thought it was just my computer. Is there a limit to how many people you are accepting?

      • http://www.chadhowsefitness.com/2011/01/20-characteristics-of-a-real-man/ Chad Howse

You’ll see when I get it working, no limit, it’s pretty cool though. I’m just waiting to hear back from support. Then will get it launched for good.

Chad as always your articles are motivating and inspirational. I have to say you have helped me so much in the last three, four, five months with all the wisdom you instill in your articles and all the knowledge about lifting, nutrition and life. I’m slowly but surely making gains and have already noticed changes in my body and mind. I have more energy, my skin looks and feels healthier, I’m getting stronger and gaining muscle. Granted today I’m recovering from DOMS – I bit off a little more than I could chew on my lower body day and now I know better, a epsom salt bath helped allievate a lot of the soreness and aches but it has sucked haha. Anyways just wanted to give a big thank you! I’ll have you know I’m meeting with an Army recruiter this Friday to pursue one of my lifelong dreams of becoming a soldier and I can say without a doubt you have helped me get there by pushing me and encouraging me to be a better man. By making me realize even if people in my life, family and friends, dont approve of my decisions its still my life and Im the one that has to look in the mirror everyday and live it my way otherwise I’ll regret it and no one wants that. Never stop writing and doing what you do! You are helping people like me! Ill let you know how the meeting goes! Sorry for the essay of a comment lol

Hey Paul, Thanks so much for the comment man. It’s great to hear I’m having some kind of impact. Let me know how the interview goes for sure. I wish you success man!

  • Ryan H.

Hi Chad, really love your blog mate. Tried to sign up for the training but the link doesn’t seem to be working. Any ideas?

    • http://www.chadhowsefitness.com/2011/01/20-characteristics-of-a-real-man/ Chad Howse

We’ve had some problems with it but it should be fine now. Go ahead and give it a shot again.

  • Richard

Any chance on being able to go for the ‘build lean muscle’ path, with IF style of eating? I love IF, can’t stand/don’t have the time to eat 4-8 times a day (being a full time student, working on the weekends to pay for the studies).
Hope to hear from you, I’d love to apply and get ready for my photoshoot at the end of the year!

    • http://www.chadhowsefitness.com/2011/01/20-characteristics-of-a-real-man/ Chad Howse

Yes, it’s possible. Just load up on the carbs post-workout. That’s where you need them most anyways. I may add some IF stuff to the course in the last week, so keep your eyes open for that.

  • brandon m

Hey Chad it is Brandon. Letting you know all is well on the PHC forums.

Also, I signed up but selected” build lean muscle” – however it sent me a Fat loss intro to my email. Also the first pop-up screen was to small and unable to be navigated with the scroll buttons on the side/bottom.

Congrats on this course, let me know if I can help on this…

    Stay primal

Hey man, thanks a lot, really appreciate all your help.

K so there are glitches. I’ll go through everything again tonight. Thanks man.

      • brandon m

No problem, I can’t help my OCD and overtraining, lets see how this works out, then I can slam some more testimonial’s for yah.
BTW- even though I have not stuck to your EXACT routines, let me say that with your help I have gained about 10 lbs of pure muscle (eight pack still sharp) my squat is up 50lbs, deads up 80lbs, pull ups x 50%, chins 60%, box jump up to hip ,from just above knee before, (although I do not do these anymore because of an existing scar tissue on shin from IED blast, if I hit it on a missed jump it splits right open to bone and spurts arterial blood!!)
So now I set up a string and hit it with bottom of soles to gauge hieght.
My sprints also went down in times (20 sec opposed to 30sec) same distance
These are the best #’s since I first got out of the Service (two years ago when I lost all that muscle while in hospitals) “in the SPECOPS crowd” from the injuries you are apprised of
        So THANKS..
Can’t wait to see what I can get back to with your help.

      • http://www.chadhowsefitness.com/2011/01/20-characteristics-of-a-real-man/ Chad Howse

That’s unbelievable man. It cool if I use this as a testimonial? Or can you write me up one that’s a bit more concise, with some pics in there if possible?

I really appreciate all your help. I’m making some changes to the PHC back-end. I’ll let you know what they are, would love your input.

        Talk soon brother.

      • brandon m

Yes, I can write up a more Concise one.

I will try and get some early pics( not sure if I have any) and send recent ones.

Are you resending info for this program (like I said I got the Fat Loss plan when I signed up for the Muscle Program)

        Looking forward to this Man…

      • http://www.chadhowsefitness.com/2011/01/20-characteristics-of-a-real-man/ Chad Howse

Thanks a ton man. Try unsubscribing and signing back up to the muscle program – everything should be fixed. Please let me know if it isn’t. … coding error on my part.

  • Chris

Hey Chad!! What would be the best option for someone who is already pretty heavy, but doesnt have alot of body fat, but not too much muscle either?

    • Chad

Hey Chris, right off the bat I’d say do the lean muscle option: it’ll help you burn more fat, but also add athletic, lean muscle.

      But what are your goals?

  • Johnboy

This looks really great Chad, how the heck are you able to do this for free?

  • Matt

Hey Chad, I’m looking to get stronger, build some muscle, and be more athletic for my sports (Judo mainly right now, but also Tae Kwon Do). Which option should I sign up for?

    • http://www.chadhowsefitness.com/2011/01/20-characteristics-of-a-real-man/ Chad Howse

Do the Legendary Athlete course – just follow the questions and you’ll end up at the right one. “I want to become a better athlete” is how it should end.

  • Henry

Chad, I can’t access to the questionnaire. Is it still available?

    • http://www.chadhowsefitness.com/2011/01/20-characteristics-of-a-real-man/ Chad Howse

There’s something wrong with the link, having it fixed right now.

  • matt

hey chad, i also went through the questionnaire and after a few questions it just stays blank… let me know what i need to do or if it is just down right now. Either way I am really looking forward to doing this and also thank you for being an inspiration to , I am sure, a lot of people!!

    • http://www.chadhowsefitness.com/2011/01/20-characteristics-of-a-real-man/ Chad Howse

All good Matt! Just fixing things right now so should be back working soon.

  • Dylan Barker

Hey Chad, I love your stuff. I tried clicking on the image and it wasn’t working. I would really love to participate.

  • powerfulwoman

do you also train women, or are your services only reserved for males? You appear to equate manliness with positivity, strength and power so I’d be interested to know how women can fit into your dialogue.

    • http://www.chadhowsefitness.com/blog/2011/01/20-characteristics-of-a-real-man/ Chad Howse

They fit in perfectly, I just talk to men because it’s what I know how to do. I’m working on a female fitness program right now actually. It’ll be awesome. So keep your eyes open for that.
