I loved the shit out of it and would do anything to improve. I spent sleepless nights thinking about it. It would even creep into my dreams and I’d wake up in the middle of a submission.

But it was everything to me, and that’s why I failed. I had too much thought on losing and not enough on the assurance that I’d trained hard and was ready for anything.

Results definitely give you confidence. I found many years after Jiu-Jistu that keeping a journal is a solid way to truly show you how far you’ve come.
