The people who can’t tell fantasy from reality are probably beyond help anyway. Plus have you met any of the ladies who like 50 Shades of Grey? Not the sharpest tools in the shed.
My Mum showed me a hilarious article, where a husband and wife attempted to reenact all of the 50 Shades sex scenes within a single weekend. The conclusion was that every scene boiled down to cunnilingus into missionary sex (i.e. lazy girl fantasy sex)

You can take the lead without dominate women. They want to be told what to do, so they follow the man’s lead, but not to be controlled physically or mentally by a man. Difference.

But the thing that you don’t understand is that it’s a mutual thing. They want a man that will take the lead. They want to be controlled and told what to do (if they genuinely don’t want to do something, compromises can be made). They don’t like making decisions or having to think for themselves (generally speaking). They want these things, it turns them on. That is the nature of submissive women. That is how most women are. They’re attracted to dominant men. I could keep speaking on this, but you get my point. I love your blog, man, it’s helped me a lot, but I don’t agree with what you’ve said. Again, not trying to say you’re wrong, just speaking from my experience. Please don’t take it the wrong way.

I also enjoyed your other articles, particularly the one about the “Strenuous Life” inspired by Teddy Roosevelt. Your ‘True Grit’ piece was also very inspiring, as was your Op-Ed on equality vs. fairness. Keep up the great work!

I was talking to my wife about this the other day. The fact that it is being championed by liberals shows a level of cognitive dissonance which is hard to contemplate as a rational person. Could you imagine if the Right came out in favor of this movie…remember…the War on Women? They want to live in a society where there is freedom and peace, yet tear down every pillar that makes it possible?!
Anyhow, the dichotomy presented here, between the two types of men, is one of the issues men face today. It establishes the notion that you can be a little like both of these men and still be accepted, even lauded, by society. Essentially broadening the definition of Manliness to include a man of ill character. Or, that if you happen to lean more towards the 50 Shades kind of guy than the Chris Kyle, you are still a man, and as long as you are attractive to women and can get what you want out of life you’ll be happy.
It’s a damned lie. Thanks for standing up for the truth!
