(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /home/chadhows/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6131I’m pretty sure he was agreeing with you, but also, this article while it tries to bridge gaps ultimately only creates more divides.
]]>Case in point, my fire academy had one standard physical test, didn’t matter what size, color, or gender we all took the same test. 8 women took the test, but only 2 passed. Nearly all the men passed, only 2 failed out of 20. I believe it just comes down to biology, with a dose of sheer will power. If a woman wants the job bad enough she’ll get into the shape she needs to be in, no matter how much work it takes. It’s the same for anyone else, I’m a pretty lean guy and it took me years to build up enough strength and endurance to complete both this test and the academy’s training.
Needless to say, either of those 2 girls I’d be proud to sit next to on a truck. They are the perfect example of equality and a set standard. I’m all for equality, just the not the “equality]” of special treatment for those who can’t meet the standard.

]]>The main concern that I have for the progressive tax system is wondering where the top rate will ultimately be. Is it 50 percent? 75 percent? 90 percent, as it was in the 1970s? And who determines what is “disposable income”, or how much money is “too much”? The government? LOL. Puh-leeze. The least wise thing to do is to turn over the financial reins of other peoples’ hard earned money to a group of people that have spent their lives spending what they have not earned and that, with very few exceptions, have never had to make payroll. In point of fact, it should be a requirement to hold office that the office seeker has accomplished something, and graduating law school does not count, nor does holding a degree from some Ivy in Public Policy with a minor in Hating and Dividing.
And meanwhile, these illuminated souls that would seek power over us, the great unwashed earning masses, have soft, sweet smelling hands— because the heaviest thing they have ever had to pick up is a #2 pencil to bubble in the correct regurgitated answer. But boy oh boy are they ever glib and articulate. Often they hide behind a lot of high sounding words and subtle condescension but actually say nothing, and if questioned on specifics quickly become angry and increasingly condescending. It is the way of petty tyrants.
A thought: While my heart goes out to those that can fairly be defined as the working poor, and I am glad to not be taxing those that make less than 20K per year, know this; it is not necessary to tax them in the first place. Simply do not withhold such large amounts from their taxes, and allow them to make ends meet better on a weekly basis. What is happening now is that our governement is extracting a no interst loan from them and then making them feels as if they have been done a favor by giving them back their money. In terms of fairness, this system also rewards low achievers while it punishes higher acheiving individuals–and I do not mean billionaires, I mean middle class business owners such as myself, that pay a punitive tax rate for the honor (and it is a honor) of employing good people. I could give a substantial raise to my hard woking, well-deserving employees if I could get the Big G to back down on their definition of “the rich”, which apparently I am, as “rich” has now come to mean “not needing government assistance” which, it would appear, the current administration, and leftists in general, find offensive. I can only assume because that means I do not need them. Which is correct. I would shoot and eat dump rats before I would accept government assistance to fill my belly with their soul destroying cheese. But hey, that’s just me. Not judging others. Do what you gotta do.
The flat tax may not be the best solution. But there certainly has to be a better one than the onerous, bloated, tyrannical one we currently have.
]]>My parents are dead. My father was a Marine that served 82 days hand to hand combat ina small island in the Pacific, fighting for freedom. My mother supplementated our income working 6 day work weeks in a factory. I got “rich” by the grace of God. And a lot of hard work. And Carl Marx was wrong. About everything. But don’t believe me, look at recent history. Take a break from whining and hating and read something, in other words.
]]>And Bilderberg is a good thing, all hail Goldman Sachs and NSA! Who cares about freedom! Wait that’s right, I DO!
