I can see both sides. Nothing wrong with acquiring skills throughout your life if it means it will help your ultimate goal. I remember when I was busting ass to do be in a band. No one was good enough to get the idea out for our album cover So, I taught myself Photoshop in a month. After that people started hiring me for work to do their art lol. The next venture I’m going towards will require artwork and graphics. Now I don’t have to pay anyone to do it. The skill can be used towards the ultimate purpose. Good post Michael. Good article Chad!

Yes, focus on one at a time, but there are things I’ve learned carving stone that have translated into composing music, painting, and how I work out and carry myself and vice versa. Many of the lessons learned from any one of my trades have applied to every other trade I’ve taken up. Diversity can be a good thing if done right and towards a larger goal, in my opinion.

Still a great read, as always. No, I haven’t dismissed your entire article because of one thing I see differently. Thanks again for the awesome words and sound advice.

Put your focus, talent and love onto just a few things. No to everything else.
