Number one reminded me very much of a guy at work. He is all talk and no action. He can give out jokes and whatnot but cant take em when directed to himself. He talks about all this stuff he could do, but never does.

Anyway I also wanted to add on to Kevin Cole’s comment. This is something that applies not only in work, but other parts of your life too. For example, when you make a commitment you should follow through, even if you feel like giving up. When I ran my first marathon, and my second, and my third, there was always a point when I felt really good. Then, after some time, I felt like giving up. I didn’t have my initial confidence. I felt like this was crazy. But then I thought about why I was doing this, and the fact that I made the commitment to do it, and that I had spent so much time training – a fine balance of stretching/strength training/actually running and other forms of training. As a result of these thoughts I persevered and then, the race was over. I hope that this will work when I finally commit to an ultra-marathon.

That’s a great point. Perfect addition for an 18th lesson.

– When you’re about to quit, go a little further. A breakthrough is about to happen.

I’ve experienced this so many different times throughout my journey.

Once in the beginning when I almost gave up on the unconventional journey and then stuck with it and built my first profitable business. Another time I was going to stop blogging and then I stuck with it, re-branded and my blog took off. Just the other week it happened again but I stuck with it, made a few adjustments and doubled my income.
