I really needed this. My life was full with self-loathing and denial, so much that I’ve ended up with mental problems as a result…only because I was so caught up with living a fantasy that I forgot everything I was thankful for in my life. Anyway, this blog is awesome, you’re awesome, and I’ll be sure to reread this as many times as necessary. Thanks, man. Also, your fight was epic, ‘grats dude.

Gratitude isn’t a “I’ll accept everything I have so I don’t need to change” ticket that you flash out and “accept” your shitty life and do nothing. Gratitude is being happy for what you have that makes you happy, it’s also being grateful for the things you can do, for an example, you can change your ‘shitty life’. If we have the power, time and/or perseverance to change our life, isn’t that awesome? I believe that, if we can’t be grateful, we can’t be humble.

Hey man, you DO deserve better, but so do THEY.

They deserve a man who’s going after what he wants in life. A happy man. A man with a purpose who’s hustling FOR THEM.

You have the biggest source of motivation available to a man, A FAMILY.

Use it. Work FOR THEM, don’t run from them. Bring them along on your mission. You don’t have to leave them to start doing awesome stuff. Let them grow with you. Man up my man! You can have the best of both worlds if you work for it.

Well said man. Accept where you are, but make the best of it, which, in part, is seeing the good in it, but then also recognizing that you’re fat, poor, unhappy, and taking steps to change each of them.

Ya it was a tough cut on the body. Since that fight I cut more, but that first cut was taxing. Tourneys are ruthless.

My man! You’re missing the point!

You’re accepting your PAST, and you’re dwelling on it. Who cares about your moments missed, they’re done! You no longer have to worry about them. All you can do now is work to create BETTER moments in your future.

You’ve taken the wrong approach here. The point is to accept your reality and do your best with what you have. But you’re not dwelling on your current reality, rather your past. Forget about your past and only focus on what you can do in the moment, THAT, my friend, is your reality.

So stand up, man up, and start marching forward. Take that trip! It’s never too late at all.
