Do what works best for you. If you like the energy you get with a pre workout meal, then by all means have one. Just try to focus most of your carbs around your workout, then more fats for the remainder of the day.

I started implementing it this past week but it was hard to consume all my calories in that eating window, I didn’t really get hungry after my first meal.

I also had a question about pre-work meal- I train around 5:15am, generally don’t eat anything before my work out is that something that should be avoided?

I workout in the evening, but carb up all day, more or less. I am definitely going to have to look at what I eat when, not so much at what I eat.
