You get it. You’re in your battle. There are those, however, who do feel tame, and we need to figure out how to release the warrior in them, you’ve got your shit together, you’re moving forward in a battle and it’s awesome to see.
Thanks for that. Well written too.
]]>My battlefield is what I do for a living because I am obligated to my family. To make certain the mortgage is paid, groceries are in the fridge, along with the hundred other things which kids and family require.
I am not tame. I am committed to the duty, my duty, of caring for my people.
My battle is joined daily when I kiss my wife and head out the door. I face my fears. I stand on the line and refuse to give ground. I return at night bloodied and weary but unbroken.
I would not use the tame to describe myself or any other who joins the battle line.
WE ARE NOT TAME!
]]>I agree! Life is a war. We’re at battle. Well said.
I think, as men, we need to see it as such just to take it as seriously as we should be taking it.
Thanks for the comment man.
Wow Doug, that is damn well awesome. Appreciate it.
I have thought of this site as such, and my position in this tribe or army we’re building as something like that. That’s why I take so much time with my articles, and why I choose certain topics over others.
I love this site, and this tribe. It’s incredible how it’s growing and taking form, but I want more adventure, and I think we all do. I’m figuring out what that will look like and where it will take place now – this battle, this site, will always be a part of the battle, I feel like I need some physical adventure to go along with it.
