As a young professional committed to both a civilian and military career it sickens me to see that three years later society still holds a huge entitlement complex and also tears down the pursuit of intellectual development as something “uncool.” Our gadgets get smarter but our technical and interpersonal understanding continues to degrade. Instead of exalting the next great wave of intellectual accomplishment, the striving to build and advance knowledge is shackled to the whims of immediate consumerist gratification. I intend to continue to achieve success, I refuse to let the river of ignorance wash me down stream.

If you still post Chad, keep it up. Voices like yours are few and far in between.

I believe you have your black “Washington’s” mixed up. Not to say that Booker T wasn’t a great man.

That’s tough to hear about the marriage man, sorry that had to happen. But the way you’ve turned it into something good, is inspiring. Thanks for the comment. You’re going to make those changes, I can see that.

I figure if I can put the same drive and dedication that I put into health, fitness and family into other aspects of my life, I can’t possibly fail.
