I usually do skipping for 5-10 minutes. But I'll also do a bodyweight routine like the following:

20 reps
push-ups
squats
inverted row
lunges
repeat 2-3 times.

Give it a shot. Gets all the muscles firing.

I get my sprints in for sure during hockey. I eat whole wheat toast with almond butter prior to long runs. I like to feel that i'm burning something off when I run.

I'm not a big fan of sprints..last time I think I pulled something due to lack of skretching and warm ups

What kind of warm ups do you do prior to cardio/lifting?
