Therefore, unless you have diabetes, please don’t use the GI. Also, note things like Nutella are supposedly low GI, however, the GI system was based on your sugar levels spiking within 15 minutes. If the product did not do that, it is claimed low GI. One of the main ingredients is palm oil, which is a fat that slows down this process. So in actual fact, sometime after 15 minutes, the sugar spiked crazily and thus, it is not low GI as you can imagine.
