I love boxing, but I also love mma. Legends-wise there's no comparison obviously because the mma we have today is such a new sport. I just don't think there needs to be a battle between them. Both are great sports. Any combat sport is, in my mind.

This mma shit is over rated, boxing has been around for like 200 years and no mma fighter can even come 1% as close to mike tyson, ali or marciano. They're jokers compared to these 3 legends. Once someone like tyson comes along, this mma will die.

Hey Bob, there's no argument in here about boxing vs mma. It's like comparing apples and bowling balls as Paulie Walnuts would say.

I'm a fight fan, whether that be mma, boxing, kickboxing or any other combat sport. I love combat sports, and think they're the best, purest form of competition. I talk about boxing a lot because I did it, and truly do love the sport, it's history, and some of the legends it has produced. mma is a young sport (the sanctioned version we're seeing today), but I love it. It doesn't yet have the history that boxing does, but it's providing us with some great fights. The Henderson vs Shogun fight was a great, great fight, as any fight fan would agree.

Cerone's on the rise man. He's due for a title shot very soon, love watching his fights, and thanks for the comment!

MMA requires a diverse set of abilities – many more than boxing.
Regarding the best – I'll take 'the cowboy. Every time I see him in an MMA event he is a gentleman – but all business.

Agreed Joe. He was under appreciated in my mind. Those fights with Ali were obviously legendary, but he had a great career outside of those fights as well. One of the all time greats.

I love Gatti…they shouldn't have called his bouts "fights", they should have been called "ring wars". He was never in a dull fight. You know I think Marciano was the best, and in my last blog post, I touched a little bit on the death of Frazier. He was a larger than life figure when I was a kid, especially the trilogy with Ali. A sad day to lose him, he was a great heavyweight….

Way to go Chad!
