You can do distance or time. Sprint the length of a field, jog back, sprint, jog back etc…
or grab a stop watch, you can get them cheap online (recommended), this way you'll be able to keep tabs on your rest and sprint periods. It's more effective to keep tabs on time as you progress and are able to have more than a 1:1 work to rest ratio.
