I particularly liked how you used your surfing story in your article.

You had clarified a point that I couldn’t get my head around how to get my point across clearly (in another language that’s not my forte) when one of the students at the school was so boastful that he had beat me running this 5km charity run by something like 20 seconds or so. He thought that it was crazy of me to not compete with him. I told him that I was competing with myself, not with him, even though we had be running side by side for about 3km. If he brings up this story again, I’ll use your point to further clarify my stance.

By the way, I did the 5km in 21:20. Not too shabby for my first time, eh?
